- The court 's jurisdiction to review is confined to the grounds as mentioned in Order 47 of the Code which are very limited , that is , on the ground of discovery of new and important matter ' or evidence , which , after the exercise of due diligence , was not within the knowledge of the party or could not be produced by them at the time when the decree/order was passed or on account of some mistake or error apparent on the face of record , as , for example , if some Act or binding judgement of the higher court was not taken notice of , or some public document was ignored .
